Biography

Gary V. Gittleman is a partner in the Philadelphia office of Naulty, Scaricamazza & McDevitt, LLC where he has focused his career defending dentists and physicians in professional liability matters. As one of the foremost authorities on the liability of dentists, Gary has earned the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Dental Care Systems in the Associated Faculty of the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania.

Gary’s expertise as a skilled litigator has resulted in numerous distinctions and honors, including OMSNIC National Insurance Attorney of the Year, and he has been recognized with the OMSNIC Continuing Excellence Award, on multiple occasions. Gary has been listed among Super Lawyers magazine's yearly ranking of "Pennsylvania Super Lawyers" on three occasions.

Gary is frequently asked to lecture to practicing dentists and oral surgeons, and he has served as a faculty member in the Ortho-McNeil Top Scholar Fellow Symposium. His speaking engagements have included: the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society, the Oral Surgeon Honor Society of the Temple University School of Dentistry, the Academy of Stomatology, the Delaware Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Conference.

A graduate of Villanova University, Gary earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1967 and received his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law in 1970. He is a member of the American, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Pennsylvania Defense Research Institute, and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court's Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
