Biography

Sean P. Buggy is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Naulty, Scaricamazza, & McDevitt, LLC and practices with the firm’s Insurance Defense Department. He focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, casualty defense, insurance coverage, appellate practice and construction claims.

Sean has represented individuals, corporations and insurance carriers for over fifteen years in matters ranging from complex construction claims to insurance coverage disputes in all state and federal courts in Pennsylvania with a focus on litigation.

A graduate of the University of Scranton, Sean received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science in 1992, and earned his Juris Doctorate in 1995 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Sean served as law clerk to the Honorable James R. Cavanaugh for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in 1994 and served as law clerk to the Honorable Joseph D. O’Keefe for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in 1996 and 1997.

Sean was appointed to serve on a Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 2002, and was promoted to Chairman of Committee 1.02 in January 2004. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Brehon Law Society. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
